Where did the McLaren Vale Wedding Expo idea originate?Waaaay back in 2009 . . ok it wasn't that long ago, Expo directors Charlene and Sue met at a Southern Success Business Enterprise Centre networking function . . held in McLaren Vale of course!They got talking about their respective event management companies and realised they had much in common, not least of all, that they both married in McLaren Vale in 2008.They struck up a discussion about how the region needed something to promote all the wonderful talented suppliers to the greater public - too many couples were marrying in the region and paying a fortune for suppliers to travel down from the city . . . when the couples were asked why, the answer was simple . . . We couldn't find them!So that is the story of how two event managers from separate companies came together to put on this fantastic event . . . Sue and Charlene hope their story inspires other business out there to work together! Networking is key to owning a successful business and in this case bringing an industry together!
